Letter from the President
Greetings,
The Ladies of Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Incorporated welcome you to our website. We are honored that you have
taken the time to learn more about our prestigious sorority and the exquisite
Ladies of Tau Chapter. The purpose of our esteemed sisterhood is to cultivate
and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and
friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning
girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain
progressive interest in college life and to be of service to all mankind. Tau
Chapter exemplifies all of these facets through our diligent work inside our
sisterhood, on campus and within the community. Since our establishment in
1922, as the first Black Greek Letter sorority on the campus of Indiana
University, the Ladies of Tau Chapter have redefined merit and distinction in
our programming, service and social stature.
We the Ladies of Tau Chapter, hold
ourselves to a higher standard, and continuously strive to sustain the legacy
set before us. We are genuinely appreciative of your visit to our
website. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to direct them

Sincerely,
Paris M. Rogers-Thomas
